REPAIRS POLICY

TheMobyShop Repairs Policy 

Repair Policy

Items previously booked in for repair will NOT be returned without the individual attempting to retrieve the item (referred to from now on as “you”, “your”, “the customer”, “the claimant”) presenting the relevant repair receipt to a member of staff representing TheMobyShop (referred to from now on as “us”, “TheMobyShop”, “a member of staff”). If the receipt has been misplaced, you will be required to produce Photo ID (drivers licence, passport) which verifies your identity as corresponding to the name and/or contact information and/or signature found on the repair receipt.

 

Any items which are not collected by you or a third party authorised by you within 28 days of being notified that the item is ready for collection will be disposed of in order that TheMobyShop may attempt to be recompensed for any work completed. [1].

 

All items returned in the manner detailed above come with a 30 day warranty, for more details on your repair warranty please ask a member of our team [2].

 

We do NOT offer monetary refunds for any items purchased and subsequently returned for any reason. If deemed appropriate by TheMobyShop, the claimant MAY receive an exchange or in store credit ONLY.

 

Any individual who seeks to dispute a decision made by TheMobyShop may send an email to info@themobyshop.com or call TheMobyShop complaints line: 0203 1378 268.

 

This does not affect your statutory rights.

 

[1] The Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 provisions apply any time after the goods are ready for collection, subject to any terms imposed at the time the goods were left for repair.

 

[2] TheMobyShop warranty/chargeable repairs are guaranteed for 30 days from the date you signed the repair receipt and are informed that the item is ready for collection. If the fault as outlined in the repair receipt should re-occur during the warranty period, TheMobyShop will attempt to repair said fault, at no additional cost to the claimant. If an item previously repaired by TheMobyShop develops an additional fault unrelated to the original fault as outlined in the repair receipt, the repair warranty contained in this paragraph will NOT apply.
 

This warranty does NOT apply: {a} to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication, by the consumer {b} to damage caused by a service performed by anyone who is not an authorised TheMobyShop technician or {c} to a product or a part that has been modified without the written permission of TheMobyShop or {d} if any TheMobyShop stamp has been removed or defaced.
